Every celebration deserves to be enjoyed by the people hosting it.

Krithi Events plans and runs weddings, ceremonies, milestones and corporate gatherings across the Triangle — so you can be present at your own occasion instead of running it.

What we plan

One team for the whole calendar of your life.

Most planners do weddings and stop there. We handle the wedding, and then the housewarming, the first birthday, the graduation party and your company's Diwali night — with the same people who already know how you like things done.

I

Weddings & ceremonies

Multi-day Indian weddings and Western ceremonies alike, from the first vendor call to the last guest leaving. We know the running order, the timings and where the day usually slips.

II

Milestones & family celebrations

The occasions that fill the years between the big ones. Smaller budgets, the same run-of-show discipline, and none of the hosting falling on you or your parents on the day.

III

Cultural & community events

Association nights, temple functions and festival programmes — the events with three hundred guests, a stage, a sound check and a volunteer committee that needs someone holding the timeline.

Corporate & private

Team offsites, launches, holiday parties and client dinners for Triangle businesses. Clear budgets, real vendor quotes, one point of contact and an invoice your finance team will accept.

Packages

Three ways to work together.

No two events cost the same, so we do not pretend otherwise on a web page. Tell us the date, the guest count and how many functions, and you will have a written proposal with a fixed fee inside three days — before you commit to anything.

How it works

Four steps, and you always know which one you are in.

01

A conversation

One hour, free, in person or on a call. What you are planning, roughly when, and what matters most to you. No pitch.

02

A written proposal

Scope, package, a fixed fee and a payment schedule — in writing, within three days. Nothing starts until you have signed and you are comfortable.

03

The build

Vendors, budget, design and timeline, all tracked in one shared plan you can open any time. You approve; we chase.

04

The day

We arrive first and leave last. You get a printed run-of-show, and after that your only job is to enjoy it.

About us

A husband and wife, and a shared dislike of things going wrong.

We are Krishna and Jyothi. We live in the Triangle, we have spent years hosting and helping run family functions and community events here, and we started Krithi because we kept watching hosts spend their own celebration on their feet, phone in hand, missing it.

Krithi is a Sanskrit word for a composed work — a piece where every part is in its place. It is also both of our names inside one word. That is the whole idea of the business: an occasion that looks effortless because somebody did the composing beforehand.

Working with us means working with one of us. Not an account manager, not a junior handed your file the week of.

Why Krithi

Local, bilingual, and comfortable with both sides of the aisle.

We know these ceremonies

You will not spend the first meeting explaining what a baraat is, why the muhurtham time cannot move, or that the mandap needs to face a particular direction. We plan Western ceremonies with the same care — many Triangle families are hosting both.

We know these venues

Morrisville, Cary, Apex, Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Which halls allow open flame for a homam, which kitchens will let an outside caterer in, which loading docks are a problem at five o'clock on a Friday.

We answer

Replies within one business day, always. A phone number that reaches a person. A written budget you can open whenever you want to check it, not a figure you have to ask for.

“Every celebration is a made thing. Somebody has to make it — and it should not be the person whose day it is.”

Questions

The things people ask first.

Do you only plan Indian events?

No. We plan Indian, Western and mixed events, and a good share of what we do is neither — corporate parties, graduations, retirements, community fundraisers. What we bring to a South Asian function is that you do not have to explain any of it to us.

How far ahead should we book?

For a multi-day wedding, nine to twelve months. For a single-day event or a party, two to four months is usually comfortable. If your date is sooner, ask anyway — we would rather tell you honestly whether we can do it properly.

Do you take a commission from vendors?

No. We are paid by you and only by you. If we recommend a caterer or a photographer it is because we would use them ourselves, not because there is a referral fee in it.

Can you work with vendors we have already booked?

Yes, and often that is exactly the job. Bring us in at any stage — we will pick up the contracts you already have and manage them alongside whatever is still open.

Do you handle alcohol and catering directly?

We do not hold the permits ourselves, and no planner in North Carolina should tell you otherwise. We book ABC-permitted bar services and health-department-permitted caterers, and we verify their paperwork before anything is signed.

What areas do you cover?

Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding Triangle as standard. Further afield in North Carolina by arrangement, with travel quoted upfront.
